10 Signs You Might Need a Little Extra Stress Relief (and My Favorite Comfort Tools)
If you’ve been feeling a little more on edge lately, you’re not alone. Life has a way of piling on the to-do lists, the “just one more thing” moments, and the curveballs that seem to come out of nowhere. I know for me, the signs that my stress bucket is getting too full usually show up in little ways at first — a shorter fuse, a hard time falling asleep, or feeling extra tired even after a full night’s rest.
Here are ten common signs you might need a little extra stress relief:
Feeling overwhelmed
Irritability or mood swings
Persistent fatigue
Trouble sleeping
Difficulty concentrating
Muscle tension
Increased headaches
Social withdrawal
Change in appetite
Racing thoughts
When I start noticing a few of these in my own life, I try to be extra gentle with myself. That might mean slowing down my pace, saying no to plans, and reaching for some of the comfort tools I keep close by. These aren’t meant to “fix” everything — just small, grounding things that help me feel a bit more supported and at ease.
Here are a few of my favorites:
Spiky Sensory Rings – I keep these at my desk and in my bag. They’re such a simple way to give my hands something to do when my mind is busy.
Twinings Tea Herbal Variety Gift Box – Having a warm cup of tea is one of my quickest ways to slow down. I love having a variety to choose from depending on my mood.
Fidget Rings for Women – These are both pretty and practical. If I’m out and about, I can wear one and use it discreetly when I need a calming moment.
Peaceful Essential Oil Roll-On Set – The lavender one is my bedtime go-to. I’ll roll a little on my wrists before I read at night.
Gin Gins Ginger Chews – I love keeping these on hand for moments when I want something soothing to nibble on.
Microwave Heating Pad – Muscle tension is one of my biggest signs of stress, and a warm heating pad always helps my shoulders relax.
Natural Vitality Calm Magnesium Supplement – I like sipping on this in the evening as part of my wind-down routine.
Stress relief isn’t one-size-fits-all, but having a few simple, comforting tools ready can make a big difference on tough days. I hope some of these ideas bring you a little peace and help you carve out moments of calm in your own life.
